Hofstede's Dimensions: An Analytical comparison between Japan & Indonesia

Fun fact about Indonesia, it's the largest country with muslim population in the world. So there is not much to talk about regarding to nightlife and partying in Indonesia, unless you are going to Bali which is known for touristic place and local/tourist ratio. Jakarta and most of the cities didn't have a lot of nightclub, even the most famous nightclub in Jakarta has just been closed due to its strict regulation. Not only that, drinking culture is also not common, its hard to find alcoholic drinks there, and even if you find it its going to be in a close place where not a lot of people can see (it's like somehow they try to hide it), compare to Japan where you can find alcoholic drinks in normal convenience store and easily buy it by pressing a button to show that you're 18yo/above. Even if you have the drinks, drinking it in public places is considered veeeery taboo and catches police attention, so i wouldn't recommend.

Japan on the other hand, i think more alive in the night rather than on the day. Staying here for 4 months, can confirm that nightlife have been fun, not only because a lot of nightclub option and its drinking culture, but also due to significant difference to my country makes it more interesting. Not only that, international tourist that have the purpose of having fun also creates a good vibe around the city. Overall Japan has never been boring.

Hofstede cultural dimensions model highlight how different culture makes impact international business interaction and how involving into society affects the value that the members hold.
